The Rotary Club of Slidell has become an official Sponsorship Group of the Wreaths Across America program and is specifically sponsoring wreaths for the event taking place at the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery located here in Slidell on Saturday, December 16, 2023.
Wreaths Across America takes place on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery at 34888 Grantham College Road, Slidell with the laying of wreaths on graves beginning at 11:00 am. There are currently 3,400 graves at our local cemetery, and all need wreaths.
The cost to sponsor a wreath is only $17. For every wreath purchased through our sponsorship, our club will receive $5 to give back to our community in grants and donations. This is a win-win for all of us and a wonderful way to honor those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our country.
The deadline for sponsoring a wreath for 2023 is November 28, but fundraising can continue throughout the year! To sponsor a wreath, click this link.
If you would like to volunteer to help fluff and/or lay the wreaths at this year's ceremony, click here to sign up. Plan to arrive by 8:30 for fluffing and before 11:00 to assist in laying the wreaths for those who don't have local family to do this honor.
